Summer programs offer transportation for students via community bus stops; door-to-door service is not provided. A community bus stop is a location where students in a geographic location will meet and a school bus will pick-up and transport them to their summer program. Community bus stop locations are based on student enrollments.

HCPSS summer program offers a variety of courses and programs, including both in-person and virtual options for some programs. The course listings are available from the summer programs webpage.

Where can I find the Google Meet code for virtual courses?

Teachers will post their Google Meet code in their Canvas course a few days before the scheduled start date. Students enrolled in a virtual class are expected to follow the Google Meet Expectations for Students and Families.

How are virtual courses offered?

Synchronous (live) instruction will meet online via Google Meet. Students must have reliable access to a computer and the internet.

How are students given priority for course enrollment?

Enrollment requests do not guarantee placement in summer programs.

What is the difference between enrollment requests and course placement?

Enrollment requests indicate a student’s interest in a summer course. Enrollment requests go directly to the program administrative team for verification and approval. Requests DO NOT GUARANTEE placement in courses.

When can I register for summer program classes?

The first enrollment request window will open February 1, 2023 at 6 p.m. and is limited to current HCPSS students only. Requests will remain open through February 15, 2023 at 6 p.m..

Will there be a student/parent orientation session?

Yes. Each program will share information through email and may have an in-person or virtual orientation session. Information will be shared once the student is enrolled and is specific to each program.
