The catalog is searchable by author or title, and by specific school or level (elementary, middle, high).
In the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), all schools have attendance areas determined by the Board of Education. Students attend the school in their school attendance area based on their family’s bona fide residence, as defined by Policy 9000 Student Residency, Eligibility, Enrollment and Assignment.
No. HCPSS strives to ensure student safety and protect student privacy when students are in our school buildings. To ensure the virtual appointment with no risk to students, HCPSS would have to either screen the providers or monitor the appointment. Therefore, HCPSS cannot allow students to access virtual medical or mental health appointments from non-HCPSS providers from its buildings.
All nutritional information for HCPSS meals is available via the LINQ Connect website.
Students with known food allergies (shellfish, tree nuts, gluten, lactose, etc.) must have a formal notice of their allergies from a doctor and submitted to the school nurse. Students who would like to purchase food from the cafeteria can have accommodations made that are suited to their allergies.
Meatless choices are available every day, including toasted cheese sandwiches, cheese pizza, macaroni and cheese, and vegetable lasagna with tomato sauce.
Students following strict vegan regimes should bring lunch from home.

Nutrient information, including carbohydrate contents of menu items, is available in Nutrislice. Health assistants at each school also have a list of carbohydrates and can assist students with the calculation. This information has proven to be helpful to parents, children and school nurses regarding diabetic control issues.
Please provide a doctor’s note to the nurse at his/her school. This will allow the manager to provide a beverage substitute (juice) with a meal. Check Nutrislice for any food items that contain milk.
