Are equipment and water provided by the team or must student-athletes bring their own?

For the 2020-2021 school year, students must show up “ready to practice and play” with their own equipment, towels, and water bottles labeled with their name. The sharing of water bottles will not be permitted. Hand sanitizer will be available at all gymnasium and stadium entrances and indoor/outdoor restrooms will be designated for athletes to use.

What will a typical day look like for in-person students compared to those who remain virtual?

When a student is in-person, the student will follow their assigned schedule and will be in the classroom with their teacher(s). The remainder of the class will be joining the teacher virtually using Google Meet. The teacher will be teaching the students in-person and the students virtually at the same time, which may include whole group activities, small group activities, and independent assignments. The student will be using the Chromebook for at least part of the lesson.

How will teachers provide equitable instruction to both in-person and virtual students at the same time?

Teachers will have the responsibility of teaching both in-person and virtual students at the same time. During the class, the teacher will include a variety of structures including whole group, small group and individual assignments to provide instruction and to meet with small groups of students who are in-person and learning virtually.
