Yes. Board of Education Policy 8200 Digital Education specifies the eligibility criteria under which HCPSS students may enroll in HCPSS digital education.

Synchronous video instruction does not have any additional cost as instruction takes place during the school day.

No. The K-6 Digital Education Center (DEC) that was available during the 2021-2022 school year was not funded for the current school year.

There are several types of Digital Education programs: fully online instruction, synchronous video instruction, and blended instruction.

How can I view my/my child's 2022-2023 schedule and teachers?

Schedules and teachers are available online. To view:

  1. Log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy using parent/guardian credentials

  2. Select Class Schedule from the left navigation panel

Parents/guardians with multiple children in the school system can toggle between students in the top left corner.

Can I appeal the decision made about my FARMs application?

Yes. You can contact the Director of Food and Nutrition Service 410-313-6743. You also may ask for a hearing to have the decision reviewed.

My spouse is deployed to a combat zone. Is their combat pay counted as income on a FARMs application?

No. If your spouse is receiving combat pay because they are deployed in addition to their basic pay and this combat pay was not received before the deployment, it is not counted as income.

Yes. If you get an off-base housing allowance, it must be included as income. However, if your housing is part of the Military Housing Privatization Initiative, do not include your housing allowance as income.
