What does bona fide residence mean?

Per HCPSS Policy 9000: A person's bona fide residence is their principal residence maintained in good faith. It does not include a temporary residence or a superficial residence established for the purpose of attendance in the HCPSS. Evaluation of a person’s bona fide residence is a factual one and will be made on an individual basis.

Bona fide residence can be best explained as the place where the parent/guardian and their children are domiciled or where they sleep each night.
