If I am applying for reassignment under the OTHER category, will the documents I submit remain confidential?

The reason for your request will be shared with appropriate staff at the student’s school when the Office of Pupil Personnel Services reaches out to gather information. Any confidential documentation such as a letter from a therapist or doctor will only be shared with another office if that office is relevant to the request. The purpose of sharing with the appropriate offices is for consultation purposes (i.e., Office of Health Services; Office of Psychological Services; Office of Alternative Education and Innovative Pathways; Community Superintendent’s Offices; and/or other relevant offices). All documents received will be maintained in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and are considered confidential except for release to specific staff with legitimate educational interest in the information.
