If you are not in your new home within the initial 90-calendar-day window, you may request one (1) extension. If granted, this extension lasts for an additional 90 calendar days. No further extensions will be granted beyond this point.
- Current Howard County Residents: If an extension is not approved or the move is not completed by the end of the extension, the student must return to their originally designated school.
- Non-Residents (Moving into Howard County): If an extension is granted, tuition will be assessed starting on the first day of the extension. If an extension is not granted (or the move is not completed by the end of the extension), the student will be withdrawn and must attend school in their district of residence.
Please contact the Office of Pupil Personnel Services prior to the end of the initial 90-day window if you anticipate a delay in your move.
