The Board made the following decisions for implementation in school year 2023-2024:
- New High School #13 will open with 9th and 10th grade classes only.
- No rising 12th grade students (current 11th graders) are impacted by redistricting. They will finish the remainder of their high school term at their current school.
- Rising 11th grade students (current 10th graders) who are assigned to another existing high school are offered an exemption and will have the choice to continue attending their current school or attend their newly assigned school. These students will have an opportunity to opt-in for transportation.
- Rising 10th grade students (current 9th graders) who are assigned to another existing high school are offered an exemption and will have the choice to remain at their current school or attend their newly assigned school. These students will have an opportunity to opt-in for transportation.
- Rising 10th grade students (current 9th graders) who are assigned to New High School #13 will attend New High School #13.
- Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan in place as of November 17, 2022, are exempt and have the choice to remain at their current school or attend their newly assigned school. These students will have an opportunity to opt-in for transportation.
- Students with at least one custodial parent on active-duty military as of November 17, 2022, are exempt and have the choice to remain at their current school or attend their newly assigned school. These students will have an opportunity to opt-in for transportation.
- Younger siblings of students who choose a grade level exemption to remain at their current school are exempt and have the choice to remain at their current school or attend their newly assigned school. The younger sibling must share at least one year at the same high school as the older sibling.
