What is Integrated Algebra 1 and Integrated Algebra 2 and how is it different from Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2?

Integrated Algebra 1 and Integrated Algebra 2 are replacing the traditional sequence of Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. Instead of taking three separate courses, students will learn key ideas from algebra, geometry, and statistics together over two years.

This approach helps students see how different areas of math connect and support one another. For example, students can explore concepts like quadratic relationships not only through the lens of algebra but also by analyzing their graphical representations in geometry and modeling real-world data in statistics.
