How do I know if my child is eligible for transportation services?

To be eligible for bus service, your child’s home address must be outside of a school’s walk zones. Verify address eligibility by:

1. Going to the HCPSS School Attendance Area Locator
2. Check the white box near the bottom of the page to agree to the terms and conditions
3. Enter an address in the white search box near the top left corner of the map

Once the address is found, a window will appear that will indicate either bus or walk for each school. Only those addresses that show bus are eligible for transportation service, with the exception of students whose IEP or 504 includes transportation and are eligible regardless of home address.

Please Note! The attendance area locator is marked for the 2023-2024 school year. There are no anticipated changes for the 2024-2025 school year and eligibility will remain the same.
